1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (Terms) form a contract between you and Form2 Pty Ltd (ABN 27 163 638 533) (Form2, we, us, our) for your use of the MatchAssist application and website (MatchAssist).
By creating a MatchAssist account, ticking the “I agree to the Terms of Service” box, or otherwise using MatchAssist, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use MatchAssist.
2. Eligibility — adults only
MatchAssist is for adults. By creating an account you confirm:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
- Where you enter information about a minor (such as a player on a team), you have the appropriate authority to do so as the player's parent, guardian, or as an authorised representative of the relevant team or club.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity carried out under your account.
- You must provide accurate information at sign-up and keep it up to date.
- If you share access to your account or a team within MatchAssist with another adult (for example, an assistant coach or a substitute scorer), you remain responsible for what they do with that access.
- We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.
4. Subscriptions, trials and pricing
MatchAssist is offered on a subscription basis. Pricing is shown in the application before you commit to a subscription.
- Trial: New clubs receive a 30-day free trial when their first team is created. No payment is required during the trial.
- Team subscription: Following the trial, club subscriptions are charged per active team per season. Current pricing is displayed in the application.
- Family Stats access: Per-family stats access is offered separately, with its own free trial period before billing begins.
- Payments: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Auto-renewal: Where subscriptions auto-renew, we will tell you in advance and you can cancel at any time before renewal.
- Refunds: Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law (see section 9).
- Pricing changes: We may change pricing with reasonable notice. Changes will not affect the current paid subscription period.
5. Your data and content
You retain ownership of the data and content you put into MatchAssist (player rosters, team setup, scores, stats, votes, match reports, notes, photos, and similar). You grant Form2 a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit and display that data and content for the purpose of providing and improving MatchAssist.
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the data and content you enter, including ensuring you have the right to enter information about other people (players, parents, contacts).
6. Acceptable use
Your use of MatchAssist is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary you must not use MatchAssist to harm minors, harass others, infringe intellectual property, interfere with the service, or carry out any unlawful activity.
7. Service availability
We work hard to keep MatchAssist available and reliable, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. From time to time we may need to take MatchAssist down for maintenance, upgrades or to fix issues. Where possible we will give you advance notice.
8. Suspension and termination
- You can close your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account immediately if we reasonably believe it is being used in breach of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or in a way that creates a legal risk for us or harm to other users.
- On termination, we will retain or delete data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Australian Consumer Law and our liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) where to do so would be unlawful.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- MatchAssist is provided “as is” — we make no warranties about uninterrupted operation, accuracy of stats, fitness for league submission, or compatibility with any particular workflow.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with MatchAssist is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of opportunity.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Form2 against any loss or claim resulting from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of MatchAssist, or your entry of unlawful or infringing content, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at matchassist.com.au/terms. Where changes are material we will notify account holders by email or via an in-app notice and ask you to re-accept before continuing to use MatchAssist.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and Form2 submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia.
